Here I am on my ’special’ sheepskin when I was two. It was called ‘Lammie’. I loved it so much I ate it, almost all of it, over the course of a year as my teeth came in. I’m sure it’s why I have strong teeth.
Heavy petting graduated to true love when I met my first merino. My first merino encounter, when I was six, made me realize what a half-wit Lammie was in comparison. A fluffy slipper compared to a real beast, this sheep was magnificent. Horns like a bull, and an attitude to match. And a farmer who still fed it using a bottle.
Eighteen years later I started Icebreaker, and later than that I’m now a dad, with three lovely daughters of my own. I try and open their minds to new places, people, and nature - any of which may one day, change their life in subtle yet profound ways. They each got their own Lammie when they were born.

Ok, to be fair, I do work for the company of icebreaker. But even after as many years of icebreaker employment I am still amazed at the ability of the product from a user point-of-view.
I skied in my Bodyfit+ leggings last week in Jackson Hole, WY. Didn’t think about my leggings the whole time! This means I truly found time to enjoy the ski turns rather than contemplating how hot or cold or uncomfortable I was on the slopes as conditions changed. Oh, and no stink of course!
If only I could have had icebreaker as a kid, how many more happy moments I would have had!
And Jackson Hole– it lived up to the billing!

I’m the owner of An Apple A day blog (http://www.blueskyworld.wordpress.com). I was wondering if you guys would like to donate samples of your products. I would love to try them and post reviews about them! Also, I would love to do a giveaway as well if you guys are willing to host them.
Thank you!

POSTED BY: junghwa on February 17, 2010 1:20 pmThat is cool, I love that the formative years exposure to a product and the horned and much loved source has lead to such a successful business. Icebreaker has done so much to expose our country and our exports to the globe-nice.
