Last week, a team of us from Icebreaker traveled from Portland, Oregon, USA to Boulder, Colorado to launch the GT Run and GT Bike collections to a group of 28 editors. To showcase the no-stink benefits of merino, the traveling trio decided to wear their IB GT Run and GT Bike gear from the start of the event to the morning after. We called it the “GT No-Stink Marathon.” Here are a few photos,which document the trip. No nose plugs required!
Hour 1: GT Run GM Deb Boswell and Marketing Manager Molly King test their LS Rush Crewes and Rush ¾ Tights at PDX.
Hour 2: We passed the pilot and flight attendant’s no-stink test after hour two.
Hour 8: After hour 8, the Icebreaker team is smelling great!
Hour 9: Then we put the threads to the test on the road and trail.
It was 70 degrees and sunny, yet our wool kept us feeling cool.
Hour 10: Post workout, the whole GT gang is smelling fine after a run and a ride.
Hour 14: Into the evening and hour 14, the team is fresh and clean.
Hour 16: Deb having sweet-smelling dreams in her GT.
Hour 26.2: The trio is stink-free after more than 26 hours in their GT. (We did shower and just put the clothes back on.)

On Friday March 25th, the Icebreaker TouchLab in SoHo New York City launched our Spring/Summer line with a VIP event in store. The night was a fantastic success with customers enjoying 25-50% off our new gear along with a great selection of food plus New Zealand wine and beer. Special thanks to both, Andrew and Sally Harris from Stonecrop Wines, and New Zealand Wine for their generous donations to this event.

Excitingly it came to that time of year
For Icebreaker to launch its Spring Summer gear
We planned an event
Invitations were sent
“Come join us and celebrate here”
And then came the thought, if we’re having a do
Well why don’t we sell our Winter line too?
So boxes were packed
Down the stairs and then stacked
In the shape of a fort gone askew
When the night of the event finally rolled around
New Zealand food, wine and beer had been found
Models were hired
With their clothing inspired
That was sure to make people drop to the ground
We opened our doors at seven to guests
Some came to party in their Sunday best
Others were not
They were just there to shop
And get the Icebreaker addiction off their chests
Now for those of you who may not have guessed
The night ended up a fantastic success
So from the Lab that’s called Touch

Our first TouchLab in Western Canada is open now in the Kitsilano neighborhood at 2089 West 4th Avenue, near the corner of Arbutus. Our grand opening party is on Tuesday, 22 March.
Last week we were fortunate to be on a local TV show called “Shaw Urban Rush,” which highlights events, fashion and trends in the greater Vancouver area. We brought up our Run General Manager Deb Boswell and also had some Icebreaker models and even Ramotaur to help out.
