Icebreaker - Pure Merino

Cheers to everyone who participated in our “What’s Next to Your Skin?” Vancouver 2010 competition!

Helen Danglmaier from Irdning, Austria, Europe (pictured below), is the lucky winner of the limited edition Icebreaker Whistler ‘10 gear, which includes a set of Bodyfit+, an Icebreaker “Whistler” Toque hat, Skier Mid Socks, the AC Glacier Scarf and the Long Sleeve Chase Crewe.  Nice one Helen!

We received 255 fantastic entries to the competition — from goats to babies to boys and girls in their Nature and Beast knickers (and less). Take a look back at what was submitted here.

Icebreaker was honoured to be the Official Baselayer Sponsor of the New Zealand Winter Olympic Team, and we’re proud of the Kiwi team who competed in Vancouver last month.  We had an awesome wrap up party on Monday.  The band was fantastic and we sold the bar out of beer!  Photos and video to come once Kent Hawkins, our marketing man in Canada, recovers from a chest infection that knocked him out that night (or so he says).

2. Make a donation to the Orphan Help Center at http://www.givealittle.co.nz/nepal and record your receipt number

3. Post your guess for the weight of the Capital Cause BackPack (to the nearest 100 grams, e.g. 16.5kg) together with your donation receipt number on the Wall

The correct guess (or closest) posted on the Wall will be off to Nepal.

The winner of our ‘Where on earth is Fred’ competition has been found!  Thanks to all of you that entered, we know it was a pretty tough one, but most of you got the location of our Spring/Summer 10 photoshoot correct - it was Australia (good on ya mate).

We had a group of our merino growers visiting from the Southern Alps today, and Emma Subtil from Omarama Station was able to make the draw for us which was pretty exciting.

Congratulations to Penny Tennant who gets a new Icebreaker top.  Watch this space for more competitions to come.

We have been receiving loads of entries into the ‘Where on earth is Fred‘ competition - and some very interesting locations have been named!
